Website migration

Business website migration services.

Move one compatible website with a clear plan. We review the current setup, plan the changeover, and check the moved site. Larger or complex websites get a separate quote.

  • Your current setup is reviewed first
  • A test copy is used where possible

A planned move

Move your website with a clear plan.

A website can depend on hosting, email, domain settings, and outside services. We check those connections before the changeover.

Reviewed first

We check the current setup and flag anything that needs attention.

Tested where possible

The copied website is checked before the live changeover where the setup allows it.

Clearly explained

You know which settings will change and what we need from you.

How it works

A simple three-step move.

  1. Review the current setup

We check the website, hosting, domain, email, and available access.

  2. Copy and test

We prepare the move and check a private copy where possible.

  3. Change over after approval

We explain the final steps and make agreed changes when you are ready.

What we need

Start with a quick setup review.

Send your website address and the change you want to make. We will tell you which details and access are needed next.

What we review

  • The website platform and current host
  • Domain and DNS connections
  • Email linked to the same domain
  • Backups and any outside services

What you provide

  • Your website address
  • The reason for the move
  • Available account access
  • Any date the move needs to avoid

Migration questions

Website migration questions.

Will my website be offline during the move?

Downtime depends on the current setup, DNS caching, and third-party systems. We plan to reduce disruption, but we do not guarantee a zero-downtime move.

Can email or domain settings be affected?

Yes. Email and domain settings can be involved, so we check them before changing DNS or hosting.

Does migration change the website design?

No. A standard migration moves the existing website. Design changes are scoped as separate work.

What access might you need?

We may need authorized website, hosting, domain, file, and database access through an agreed secure method. Keep a current independent backup and the source hosting active; revoke temporary access after handoff. Use our migration checklist to prepare.

Which websites can use a fixed migration package?

Standard and Managed cover eligible WordPress or static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sites when both the source and target provide working file access and, when needed, MySQL or MariaDB export and import. More complex or locked systems need review or may be declined.

What happens if the cutover fails?

We stop if an agreed critical function fails and cannot be corrected in the cutover window. We then recommend returning DNS to the unchanged source where feasible. Your authorized contact approves the live switch or rollback.
